Now to find a winner ........

Thank you for all who entered my first blog candy - I have checked with GMT and it is now after midnight and is officially Saturday 21 February 2009.
So now all that remains is to collect all the names, literally put them in a hat (or box) and let my little boy John draw out a winner in the morning - good luck to everyone - I shall be back in the morning with photographic evidence.
On a sadder note our little black Labrador Tess is spending the night in the vet's - she has been unable to keep anything in her tummy and has become dehydrated - I thought I would be able to rehydrate orally but the vet was right this morning she needed to be on a drip - we shall find out how she is tomorrow - so major feelings of guilt on my part as we took her in this evening at nearly 10.00pm - we all love her to bits - she is in my blog post - Priceless Memories - so lots of tears here this evening but we are praying hard that she will soon be her usually bouncy self and not in need of any surgery, which is, unfortunately, a possibility.
I look forward to a brighter tomorrow and being the bearer of happier news on all fronts.

  1. Oh goodness!! I am so sorry to hear this about Tess. I will keep positive thoughts that she will be ok!

((hugs)) to you and your family!!

  2. Oh Bridgette, don't worry about the candy, that can wait, you just take care of Tess, hope she's better this morning :-/
I have lots of pets and know how much they mean to the family !

  3. I am so sorry to hear about poor Tess. I do hope she's going to be all better soon. As a family we always had black labs, they're the most wonderful animals, full of love and not a bad bone in their bodies. Love to Tess and all of you and not sure if you have a faith or not but I will be praying for God to take extra special care of her, as I'm sure he would anyway as he knows how special Tess is.
I will keep visiting in the hope of good news.

  4. Hi Bridgette, sorry to hear about Tess,I hope she is alright, my prayers are with her.

  5. Bridgette--

I hope your Tess does recover. Something very similar I think happened to our Sheltie about 3 years ago, but he was too old to recover and had other problems besides that complicated things. It is a hard thing to go through but, even when it came time for us to say goodbye it was as if our Mick had held on just long enough to see us all again at the vet's, and he knew. I hope you all don't have to go through that just yet but I also know that it turns out OK no matter what.
Mick still comes back to comfort me in my dreams sometimes when times are really hard, and he's himself again and so I know he is happy where he is now. God loves all his creations.

    Hugs and best wishes,

  6. bridgette Just read about tess and hope and pray she is ok,dogs become so much part of the family and it is horrible when they are unwell,my thoughts are with you
    ((hugs)) louise

Is there anyone out there? Your comments let me know that I am not alone in my 'happy space' - which is very reassuring. Thank you.
