Although it's late I thought I had better post this now because I shall be busy in the morning getting ready for a Scrapbook Get Together that I attend each month - if you love scrapbooking and live near Spalding please contact me and I will send you the details.
In my previous post I said that I would use A Rose is a Rose - and I have, although only in a small way - this is one of the smaller blooms to be found in the set - but I just wanted a small flower to peep thro' the window created with the 1 3/8"circle punch.
This aperture is then bordered with the scallop circle punch for added definition - it's really cute being able to see into the inside of the card - it must be a Play School moment - "What can we see thro' the round window, children?" - if you're old enough to remember lol.
I used my new background stamp En Francais to stamp in Bashful Blue, matching taffeta ribbon and cardstock - inked edges, using one of the sponge daubers, softens the overall effect.
The smaller rosebud is stamped in, not surprisingly, Rose Red, the background layer being achieved by making it the second image produced ie stamping off once onto waste paper and the overlay is the deeper first image - so a little tone on tone.
There is the little flower on the inside but also Thank You - from the fabulous Fresh Cuts stamp set - the script although not matching does compliment the large background stamp beautifully.
These cards will now be used to thank the ladies that ordered at Joyce's party and made it such a success for her.
Have a lovely weekend, whatever you're doing and thank you for stopping by.

PS Now that is spooky - bear in mind the time difference, and the fact that I posted at about 2.00am this morning and I am now adding this postscript at 8.00am - take a look at Chic n' Scratch, in my sidebar - and the layout of her card!! not a million miles away from the one I've just done last night - what a coincidence - although I have to say that the thought of polka dot ribbon is very appealing, fingers crossed for October and the new catalogue - and obviously great minds think alike lol - bye B xx
